TEXAS LONE STAR RECOVERY GROUP SAN ANTONIO ★ TEXAS

Texas is holding money
that belongs to you.

When a bank, insurance company, or employer loses track of the owner of an account or a payment, Texas law sends it to the Texas Comptroller — who holds it until the owner claims it. We research the Comptroller’s unclaimed-property records, locate the owners, and help them get their money back.

No upfront fees. No recovery, no fee. We never ask for your Social Security number or bank information.

How it works

Three plain steps. You stay in control of your claim and your money the whole way — the State pays you directly.

1

We find it

We research the Texas Comptroller’s public unclaimed-property records, match property to its owners, and verify the details before we ever reach out.

2

You sign a short agreement

One plain-language agreement, sent through DocuSign so you can read and sign it from your phone or computer. It states the property and the exact amounts — before and after our fee — just as Texas law requires.

3

You file and get paid

Texas law requires the owner to file their own claim, so you file with the State and the State pays you directly. We guide the paperwork step by step — and our fee is due only after you’ve been paid.

What it costs

One fee, set by Texas law — and it’s only owed when you actually get your money.

10% of what you recover. That’s the cap, and that’s our fee.

  • Texas Property Code §74.507 caps any finder’s fee at 10% of the value recovered, with all expenses included. We charge exactly that — never more.
  • No upfront fees. You pay nothing to start.
  • No recovery, no fee. If your claim doesn’t pay, you owe us $0.
  • The agreement you sign states the expected amount before and after the fee, in writing, up front.

Questions people ask us

Fair questions, straight answers.

Is this a scam?

It’s a fair question, and you should ask it. Three things you can check yourself: (1) search your name free at ClaimItTexas.gov and you’ll see the property listed by the State; (2) Texas law (Property Code §74.507) caps any finder’s fee at 10% and requires the expected amounts to be stated in a signed agreement before any fee can be charged — we follow that, in writing; (3) we will never ask for your Social Security number, bank login, or any upfront payment. Anyone who asks for those is not us, and you should not give it to them.

Why didn’t the State just contact me?

The Comptroller holds hundreds of millions of dollars for millions of owners, and the State’s records often have only an old address — the same reason the money went unclaimed in the first place. The State publishes the records and waits for owners to come forward; it doesn’t track people down. Finding owners is the part we’re set up to do.

What exactly do you do for the 10%?

We found the property in the State’s records, matched it to you, and verified the details. If you hire us, we confirm exactly what documentation the State needs for your claim, help you assemble it, and stay with you until the State pays. You sign and file your own claim — we guide; the claim and the money are always in your name and your hands.

Will you ever ask for my SSN or bank login?

Never. We do not need your Social Security number, your bank login, or your account passwords — not on this site, not by phone, not by email. The State pays you directly, and we never handle your money. If anyone claiming to be us asks for those things, hang up and call us at (210) 803-0496 to check.
